We used to live in California and before that New York. When we moved from NY to California we found out that despite having driven for half our natural life and having almost zero tickets to speak of, we needed to take a written test to get our California licenses. The format was excellent and I would totally advise anyone to use as a good prep tool . It totally forced me to absorb the entire manual item by item . The format used is very similar to the actual test format which made it quite easy . As a result I passed quickly with only one wrong. This format makes you go back and find the answer in the booklet instead of trying to guess what you think it should be.
