The people at Boogey Lights treated us like family. They allowed us to camp on their lot while the 2 day installation was done. They take pride in their product, their customer service and their installation. They answered every question we had and we can not say enough good things about them. The purple LED light were disappointing. Not very bright. The white lights were great!

Purple LEDs are actually ultra-violet. As such, they are not very bright. They produce a soft purple glow particularly when used on shiney reflective surfaces such as chrome motorcycle engines but they are not very bright compared to the other colors. We have a large, bold text highlighted note on the product page alerting customers to this fact (link to screen shot below). We provide this information in hopes that customers will read it before ordering but it doesn't always turn out that way. I took my horse trailer in for an awning light & after seeing an RV that they had just finish with I decided to go with an awning light and lights under my goose neck & under my trailer ! It was the first horse trailer that they had added lights to. They did an excellent job & the light placement was amazing ! Customer service is unbelievable ! It's definitely a 5 star plus business !

My words cannot express the professionalism that I received from the staff. The product is great I have been using their product since 2007 and they have backed their product. I had a zone of light go out and they walk me thru fixing the problem as I had them on the phone as I laid in my driveway and the tech guided me thru the repairs and I had my light back on within the hour. Now that is customer service.

The signal from the remote is not nearly strong enough to control the lights, and I ordered additional lights and I thought they would be the same spool of multicolor lights as the first spool, but they were not, the order of the colors were completely different. That makes it almost impossible to connect the same colors!

All of our multi-color LED lights have the same primary colors of RED, GREEN and BLUE. If you're matching them up with an existing set of Boogey Lights, you have to make sure they are wired such that the RED diodes in the older LED strip are on the same circuit as the RED diodes in the new LED strip. It's not difficult to do but if you don't get them matched up, the two strips will be showing different colors. The good news is that it's an easy fix. If you give our technical support team a call at 800.847.1359 we'll be happy to assist you.
As for the range of the wireless remote, here too this is something that will be impacted by where the LED controller is installed. If for example the LED controller is installed in a metal enclosed area, the radio signal will be weaker thus impacting the effective distance. There are a couple of solutions to fix this (including moving the LED controller to another area in the vehicle) however if moving the LED controller isn't an option, we offer a long range remote transmitter. We also offer an external magnetic mount antenna which can be placed up to 15' away from the LED controller. All of these possible issues are discussed both in our product description as well as our installation materials so customers are made aware of them in advance of buying and installing. We also offer free 800 number technical and installation support to assist customers with their installation challenges. And of course, there are any number of qualified professional installers who are available to install Boogey Lights products to make sure they work as they should. We have installed our LED lighting products on thousands of RVs (and tens of thousands of other types of vehicles). Boogey Lights products will absolutely perform as advertised when installed properly. Our lighting systems are not difficult to install for the DIYer but it does take some forethought and planning. So far so good. Easy install and wiring as long as you have some basic knowledge. I have not traveled with my RV yet or used them other than in my yard yet though.

Due to our inappropriate use of our original lights, they quit. Our fault, not Boogey lights. Their help page was of great use in determining what had happened to our lights so we ordered a entire new set and got them sooner than expected. Absolutely follow the instructions concerning attaching the lights as the 3M tape is definitely a one-time stick. Once the lights are properly attached, they will not come off intact. The lights are a lot of fun to play with as we've had an orange for Halloween, red, white, and blue for 4th of july, and red and green for Christmas. Definitely a great investment.

I got exactly what I wanted. Installation at their Kentucky shop was a breeze. Lights are very easy to control (so many different settings that allow near complete custom configuration) with the app and the remote. They turn heads wherever I drive!
