If you are someone who needs extra questions these are great practice questions. The the Easy and Moderate questions are useful, the Hard questions are a bit extreme but some are worth learning. I did like most of the rationales which helped to understand the content versus just answering questions. I did fin the cost a little on the pricey side. I did pass the exam, however this was not the only one of my study purchases. If you can afford it and have the time to complete that many questions I would say it's worth it if you know how to weed out unnecessary information.

This was a great way to study for the exam! Lots of similar styles questions on the board exam so it was nice to get the experience from these questions. Some questions had misspellings and grammatical errors but overall not too many to be distracting. Definitely would recommend for studying for the PMHNP boards!

Great practice for the exam! Some grammatical and spelling errors and a few questions that did not make sense and neither did the explanation or the explanation was poor. But overall was really close to the exam and helped me feel prepared.

I would not recommend this to anyone studying for the ANCC PMHNP exam. The questions are not in the same format as the ANCC exam and I feel I wasted my money. I signed up for Georgettes Review and feel way more prepared as her content closely matches the exam and includes blueprint information. With Board Vitals, the questions are more challenging than the actual exam and your confidence is just squashed. This review made me more anxious about taking the exam. Too much $ for what it is.

Some questions are outdated. For example, a reference to "Healthy People 2020" was in a question stem, and I was completing the questions in mid-2023. "Health People 2030" supplanted the "Healthy People 2030," and may have different goals compared to 2030. Also, I did not observe questions specifically aligned with the PMHNP advanced practice nursing content domains, including (a) advanced practice skills, (b) psychotherapy and related theories, and (c) ethics, legal principles, and cultural care. Because those content domains are imperative to the PMHNP certification exam, role, and practice, I promptly requested a refund after completing ~50 questions.

I recently purchased a 3 month subscription followed by a 1 month subscription to help me prepare for the ANCC exam for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners. Board Vitals came highly recommended to me from 2 PMHNPs who used it to study for their exams as well. I completed the entire 1600 question bank and found it highly useful in preparing for the exam and did pass the exam. The questions are similar to the questions I had on the ANCC exam and I felt ready to take the exam after using Board Vitals.
