The app/web site was fine. The questions were much simpler than those on the actual exam. It's a good basic review, but needs more depth.

emphasizes on bereavement quite a bit, doesn't follow the ABIM blueprint's regarding exam content, a few questions use medscape as a source. Inexpensive question bank to build your confidence.

several of the questions use medscape as a source - which is inexcusable. content emphasizes bereavement and does not follow ABIM blueprint exam content areas. Would only recommend if someone really wants a inexpensive question bank.

Honestly, I'm not sure the price justifies the Hospice and Palliative Qbank. I chose this particular service because I had heard good things from colleagues, along with the overall dearth of available HPM questions. Although I appreciate the large amount (almost 600) questions, I found that many of these questions were not directly applicable to the HPM boards; Instead they felt like they were taken from other similar or adjacent board prep Qbanks, including geriatrics or possibly ethics. As a result, I found myself taking notes around topics that I doubt will ever appear on my HPM boards (Classic example: Do I really need to know the most common cause of death for patients with CREST syndrome? Just because it involves death doesn't mean it will be on the HPM boards). In addition, many of the questions were poorly worded, were rife with spelling and grammatical errors, or were just plain incorrect. On one question, the number of responses from others did not nearly add up to 100% (more like 55-60%). One or two errors like this is permissible, but it seemed like I was catching these errors every time I created a new practice test. Overall, if you feel like your pre-test anxiety would benefit from more questions, you could do worse than this Qbank. Otherwise, I would stay away.
