I'd never used the 3N2 brand before, nor did I konw anyone wearing a pair, but reviewed the site, and hedged a bet they would work. I didn't really care about the crush test video on the site, as I only want it to work when I get hit. Even ordered a pair of Reebock R421 plate shoes, as a spare pair, so I could test them both. As an aging umpire (over 40), I wanted something that was lightweight, reduce the stress on my knees, and allow me solid support. These were a great choice. Like any shoe, it takes a bit to break them in, but give about 5 games and the tongue starts folding into place nicely, and the shoe conforms without hot spots. Has a very neutral stance, so even though I use orthodics, I don't have to correct for canting in the shoe itself. It does fit slightly wide, and [@] sent me the next width size down, which has worked out great. Yesterday, my crew-mate let me pick up his steel plate shoe that was 5 years old, and they must have weighed 5 pounds a piece. He laughed when I let him hold these, and I said maybe that extra 10 lbs on his feet was slowing him down. He's now updating his gear. With 30 games on them now, they are in the same condition as new. I use them more than the Reebocks, just because of how good they feel underfoot. I'd recommend these to anyone.

Great Shoes! I used to wear through cleats in half a season. These have lasted me over two years through school and summer seasons! I just bought another pair because the metal cleats finally wore down, but this happens on any shoes. I love them!

9u Travel Player. Held up on Turf (suprising as he loves to slide) The size YM fits -He is size 6 Jeans at popular store. Some parents did not like the fit but I think they are REALLY CUTE! Baggy like CC Sabathia (although I have a skinny little son) SON LOVES THEM! Took them up ALL THE WAY TO THE KNEE PATCH & STILL CUTE.

I have been umpireing for a number of years and I have found that these shoes would have to be the best plate shoes I have ever used.Comfortable in all weather condission and I have never had any problems. If you are looking for a good pair of plate shoes BUY THESE!!!!!.

I bought these to Umpire the bases. I think they will look great. I like the look of them better than the 3N2 base umpire shoe. I think like most shoes they will collect dust along the seams. I have only worn them around the house to break them in. They are confortable, hope they are as equally confortable when it is 90-100 out on the red clay after 6 games on the bases.

I haven't worn these other than my living room so far, but they are very comfortable. I read the reviews about these fitting a little big, but ordered my usual (size12) anyways and they definitely fit a 1/2 size big. They will be ok for me since adding an orthotic anyways but if you are used to Boombahs, order 1/2 size smaller. I got the white/greys and they look just like the image here. Shipping was so prompt I was actually caught off gaurd (ordered on a wednesday and arrived on the following tuesday) to Canada with regular shipping. A+ service.

I use this shoes for running in Dog Agility a lot of the time we run in the early morning. I spry them with a silicon water repellent and they are excellent at keeping my feet Dry. they are the only ones that have a solid top (no Mesh).

I've owned Nike's, Addidas, and several other brands of cleats and none has compared to the quality and comfort of this shoe. I have developed a recurring heal fracture with heal spur from playing softball and my heal hurts after practices or games, but I can say that with this shoe and it's comfort, the pain has been greatly reduced because of it's flexibility and cushioning. I have used them several times now and I am thoroughly impressed. So much so that I am ordering another pair. One thing that should be noted is that the Black/Grey shown in the picture is nothing like what you actually get. The grey in real life is almost white looking and not the shimmering, metallic grey that appears in the picture. None the less.. I am happy with them and they could have polka dot's and I wouldn't care because they are AWESOMELY comfortable.

Comfortable, durable shoe. I buy a pair before every baseball season even though I don't have to. I am a coach and I had been looking for a comfortable shoe that would hold up to throwing round after round of BP and these have been great. I also coach football and wear them to every practice and game with no problem. My only complaint is that the navy color is too light. They need to be darker.

I play senior (over 50) softball. Never had a shoe that let me play all day long in such comfort. I recommend these shoes to all my buddies who complain about foot, ankle, knee pain, esp. during multi-game tournament play.

Really like the shoes, they feel great. The only problem is that the sole is coming apart from the upper part of the shoe. I have had these only for 4 months and have noticed issues with this, especially recently.

I bought the Momentum Lo in the latter part of last season; i usually wear mid's but felt previous 3n2's were more like hi-tops than mids. Not so with these but my local shop didn't have any stock to see in person so wasn't willing to risk it. These shoes are very comfortable to wear on and off the diamond. I wear them all weekend long (I don't bother changing between games during tournaments). I have worn these shoes on all types of infield surfaces (clay, stone dust, sand, etc) and they are great. But if you find yourself in the rain on clay, forget it. These clog up instantly causing them to weigh a ton and have absolutely no traction (switch to conventional cleats). Unfortunately for me I bought the silver/black/white version and contrary to computer image they do not look good. They look like old school white cleats (our uni's have grey pants, might be able to pull off with white pants; but I take all kinds of abuse for their appearance). Bottom line: I would definitely buy again, but in different color and the mid version.

Great feeling, almost like wearing a pair of shoes for hoops. They have great traction while running the bases as well as in grass. I like everything about the feel, however I have had issues with the soles. The plastic piece has come unglued, and as a result the heel sole has come up.

Hands down the most comfortable turf shoe I've ever purchased. I've tried almost every brand on the market and these surpass everything I've ever worn. I prefer a mid and these shoes deliver everything I need; comfort through out the day, durability, good ankle support and easy to clean.

As a High School baseball and softball umpire I am on my feet all day and also need to be fast on my feet to cover plays as required. The 3N2 plate shoes I have are the best I have ever owned. The customer service is superior as on my first order I ordered to small and I was surprised at just how easy it was to return for a new pair [...]I am now in the process of ordering a pair of field shoes to match my plate ones.
