This is the second pair of these shoes I've bought (My foot has inexplicably grown a size in the last two years). I wear an orthotic and can still leave the removable cushioned inner sole in the shoe to get maximum support, which is unusual for me. I love this shoe!

I use it for umpiring baseball and softball I umpire year round so the last pair I bought lasted 3 years which I feel is good.

Not sure if uppers have been improved since I bought my first pair about 4 years ago. The first pair did show signs of wear (uppers cracking) after about 2-and-one-half years. I've had the new pair for about 10 games, so it's too early to say if it will be the same story.

Best umpire shoe since another company stopped making their Grid-Stud model...and the 3n2 surpasses it in many ways. Great cushion, super lightweight, and excellent traction. A perfect shoe for the base umpire or all-around Slow-Pitch umpiring. Cleans up easily and takes a good shine. I will recommend this shoe to all umps in my association and anyone I see on tournament weekends. An all around great product, I will buy at least 2 pairs a year as long as they make 'em.
