I didn't know where to start with writing a business plan, but liveplan broke it down for me into easy-to-understand chunks that I could complete piecemeal. The examples and videos for each section were great guidance, too. And I'm a total dunce with numbers, so this made it easier for me to communicate to our accountant (who recommended the software) what we're trying to do so he could review it and give me actionable, meaningful feedback.

Overall I think Live Plan is a great concept and very helpful while working on a business plan. The limitations are only due to my own lack of business knowledge. The coaching help built in has helped a great deal.

I still want to reactivate it next week

I really like the program, it helped me get my business plan in order. Its made a huge difference in getting it completed. I had also read an audio book related to this or from the same author who recommended it. The only thing I wish is I want to do different scenarios and financial projection options/variations without ruining the one I have. But it seems I need to buy a new subscription each time. Not sure how to work around that yet...Another challenge is I've entered a lot of data and found myself duplicating it a lot and needed to edit the overall by printing it out and seeing how it all compares. But Im new at this.

Overall a very good system to create a business plan. However I found the sample businesses (within the plan building sections) useless for my plan. I found that all of the samples were of businesses selling services. None were of businesses selling products, which pertains to my business plan.

I would recommend this site to others, especially with service based businesses.

I would love the ability to Park a business plan. I don't need it anymore but would love if you could lock it in maybe pay for 6M and after that we'll let you read only the plan. If you need to edit it again just start paying again.

Making the plan was pretty straightforward, which is why I jumped to pay from the free trial.
Overall my experience has been good, though I wish the pitch deck was a but prettier, customizable.

I used the liveplan tool to prepare a business plan for use in my MBA studies. The liveplan tools effectively guide the assembly of a structured business plan which assisted me in submitting a professionally tailored document which ultimately contributed to my acheiving a great mark in my MBA.

Equally useful were the regular emails and articles which provided helpful articles and interesting news.
