“we arrived at the airport and our flight had been cancelled: 7 months prior to our departure date, which was July 23 (flight was cancelled in January 2015). Nobody contacted us to inform us of this very important fact; we had to wait 8 hours at the airport (could NOT go into business lounge as we couldn't check in our luggage for a flight that now left 9PM instead of 11AMish i think it was). we could not go home as we were leaving for 2months and had been dropped off by family with no car at our disposal and family were too far to come pick us back up again.
we received a fantastic upgrade though to 1st class with Thai Air and our Hotel in BKK was paid for as well; we arrived 2 days later than planned, which cost us in car rental fees, missed rendez vous with friends etc. we were VERY relieved though that lovely Vasili picked up the phone when we were desperate at the aiport!
ASIANA is not as good as Thai; they still have old planes (seats dont go down all the way) and food was pretty poor. Loved Thai. Thank you for arranging very compatible price business class fares. Kind regards, Brita ”
