The Moving Ahead Services team delivered on their promise for a quality and efficient move. We used them 3x - once to pack and move to an apartment while our home was being built. A second time to store and then deliver our household and third time to move from our apartment. It was great to have many of the team return to work with us. They were familiar with our home and our preferences on moving priorities.

The men were great in all respects, from calling to give me updates on time of arrival to working in very challenging weather conditions, ice storm that day. 5 star service. All the workers were personable and helpful. They took great care of all items they moved for us. Work progressed quickly and carefully. Absolutely recommend.

Henry did an excellent job trying to navigate a second-story, pre-ear building with me large sofa and other furniture. He was polite and kept up a fast pace throughout the loading and unloading processes and also did a great job keeping his younger team membemember on task. This is my second time using this moving company and I have no plans to look elsewhere for my next move.

The men were courteous and very professional. I was very satisfied with the price that I paid as well as the job that they did. If I every need to hire a moving company again, I would hire this one. I highly recommend them.

The movers were on time, open for suggestions in making the packing, moving of furniture and deliver's in a thoughtful manner. They were efficient and had helpful ideas to make the deliveries easier. Jeff explained everything up front and made the whole experience pleasant.

I moved from a one bedroom apartment and put my belongings in storage from August through December. The cost from moving out of the apartment and into the storage unit was approximately $900 with tip, and the cost of the move out of the storage unit and into my new house was approximately $400 with tip. I have no idea why there was a $500 difference, and have not received a response to the email inquiry I sent about the difference.

For the move out of the apartment, I wasn't sent a receipt showing the final charge until several days after the fact and only after I requested it. I was supposed to receive a phone call confirming they were finished moving my belongings into the storage unit so there was a confirmation of a "stop time", but I didn't receive the call.

In October, I had to gain access to my unit to pull out two suitcases. I was previously told 24 hours' notice was needed, but when I called, they advised they needed three days' notice. Several items were broken inside of storage totes, leading me to believe boxes weren't handled with proper care.

The individuals who came out to move me the first time were great. The two who came out the second time, however, were another story. One had a fractured foot and shouldn't have been working, causing concern on my part about Moving Ahead's labor practices if this young man couldn't even take time off to recover. The other man was quite chatty and stopped to talk almost as much as he moved things inside of the house.

Hours taken vs hours quoted way off. Cost was $700 increase. If that's normal business that's bad business because it equates to no referral business. On top of that there was a pick up truck and car full of stuff left behind. And we fed them breakfast and lunch.

I've used 4 moving companies the last 10 years and was extremely impressed with how professional And helpful everyone we interacted with was. The move team was helpful and worked in sub zero temps to get our move completed on time and with no issues. Great team and a great company!
