I was expanding my upstairs hallway to incorporate a closet and old AC closet into a "landing" that would extend to the roofline thus making the ceiling to the room, the roof. When the contractor first installed the sheetrock with just insulation between the plywood roof underlayment and the sheetrock... it was very hot... the sheetrock itself was hot from the sun hitting the roof and transferring directly to the insulation and then to the sheetrock.

I immediately asked them to stop, I found attic foil on the internet and watched the video on how to install it in a "cathedral" ceiling... That seemed like just the trick so I ordered it. It came in less than 24 hours, and I had the contractor take down the sheetrock, install the attic foil, and reinstall the sheetrock...

What a HUGE difference! The sheetrock itself does not get hot even when the sun is beating down on the roof! So glad I found attic foil!

I installed the foil in about 3 total days made my attic look awesome. I have recieved my 2 power bill and it has dropped 70 dollars no lie 70 bucks!!! I actually ordered to much (better more than less) and did the neighbors home also and he is very pleased his bill has dropped 50 dollars. All is i can say is i love love love the foil and thanks so much!!!!!!
