I installed the attic foil laying it on top of my insulation instead of to the rafters, which for my house would have been much harder do to the attic construction. I believe this to be best for me do to the extra heat build up on the shingles if it had been installed at the roof area . I know it is only a few degrees difference but I didn't want to risk it shortening the shingle life.( this is just my opinion , I have a new roof). The job took about half a day and over all was pretty easy since I just layed it. I just used a long stick with a nail on the end to lay it out. My house is suppose to be around 1100 sq ft living space , I ordered 1000 sq ft. I got two rolls 26'' wide and would have never believed it would cover 1000 sq ft but it did with no problem, actually it covered my whole living space in the attic .I don't know why ??? . its still to early in the year to see how well it works yet , but it has got to help. Makes the attic looks better also. |

I waited to do this survey until one summer's worth of ac bills came in. Attic foil is very quality, heavy material. It was shipped quickly. It paid for itself in one summer. I got over 10% savings in my a.c. bill this last summer. It should be even more after I seal the canned light fixtures in the attic with covers and replace the incandescent bulbs with energy efficient ones. Thanks Atticfoil for a reasonably priced solution to high a.c. bills in Houston, TX. |
As of June 29 2012, this product seems to be working real well. It was 102 degrees outside in the shade and 83 inside without the air cond on,just the ceiling fan on, a 19 degree temp difference. The true test will be July and Aug. 83 degrees in my well insulated house is cool. The Fed Ex delivery was horrible. |

Attic Foil is excellent, I bought **** sf of it. Looks a bit more compared to my attic but the material is extremely strong and durable.Easy to cut but very difficult to tear. As about its benefit, I have to hold my comment since summer has not hit us yet. I hope I will get my energy bill significantly less this summer but not yet reached that point. |
Atticfoil went up nicely, installation took about 4 hours for a 2500 sq ft home. The foil does not tear, we had to always use scissors, really great product!! |

I finished installing your 60" wide foil above the living space in our walk-up attic here in Lynchburg, VA. It took me a long time, due to my regular job and desire to work in the cool of the morning hours. I also installed thicker insulation batting after the foil was in place in the cathedral portion of the roof, but before the insulation was put up, I could feel an immediate difference in the radiant heat generated by the dark roofing shingles. It was like night and day. Great product and tough. I used glue to hold the styrofoam spacer strips for the first 10 rafter bays and then realized that short pieces of foil tape held better on the hot wood surfaces than the glue. Also the tape is a lot cheaper than the glue per this application. |
Great product for a great price. Easy first time install. |

This stuff is really tough! Which is good. I cut it outside rolled it up, threw it up in the attic and dragged it around. Put it up take it down put it back up.. My back hurts I'm bruised all over.. But the foil looks great. |
