I am a 65 year old woman with moderate DIY skills. I did this, by myself, in an attic that did not allow me to stand up or even kneel fully. I did pre-cut the strips to manageable lengths, and did take my time. It's too early to tell if there will be any energy savings, but I am hopeful. I also put in a solar powered exhaust fan in the west end gable vent. The house is in south east Texas so I am anticipating a cooler house for less money this summer.

I am very impressed with your website and the information it offers. I installed this radiant barrier myself for my elderly parents. Within 24 hours, my mom called to say that the house was already warmer and the heater had hardly come on. Which is significant because it used to run constantly to keep the house warm.
The foil product shipped quickly, arrived in good shape, was easy to install and is as durable as the website proclaims.
The only thing I recommend is that you, as Attic Foil, maybe suggest a certain brand of the reverse handle staple guns. The one I bought at a local big box store was junk and I had to stop using it before I got through 1000 staples.

Easy to install. Durable, resists tearing. Foil held in place with a few staples, added more for my benefit. Also laid foil over attic floor on top of R-30 Un-faced Fiberglass.

The foil house wrap we used was easy to work with and a great addition to our energy efficient building system we have prided ourselves on for the past 25 years.

This is professional grade radiant barrier at reasonable prices. Compare before buying anyting else. Ask for samples. I've had friends buy somewhere/something similar but it does not compare to the quality of Attic foil! Save on energy bills and feel the difference immediately. Even in winter. I recommend Attic foil to all my family and friends. 5 homes installed so far.

Since we put in attic foil our house is much warmer. We have cathedral ceiling and that room is much warmer. This room is usually very cold in the winter. We have recommended attic foil to our family and friends.

I waited to do this survey until one summer's worth of ac bills came in. Attic foil is very quality, heavy material. It was shipped quickly. It paid for itself in one summer. I got over 10% savings in my a.c. bill this last summer. It should be even more after I seal the canned light fixtures in the attic with covers and replace the incandescent bulbs with energy efficient ones. I love the AtticFoil. It only took my husband and I two days to lay the foil in the attic. Very simple and easy to cut. The following month's gas bill we received we saved 25% on our bill. I am happy we purchased the product. I can't to see how much we save on cooling this summer.

Great product, easy to install, will use again

I can't say that the attic foil has helped during the cold months in the winter season, I also added insulation at the same time of the attic foil install. I am definitely looking forward to seeing if it will increase the comfort of the upstairs rooms.

I ordered the 48" wide roll to cover 1000 feet. The product arrived on time and the quality is as described. If you're concerned about tearing, I pulled a corner that was stapled and it actually pulled the staple out without tearing. I manage to install the entire roll by myself. Note that I have easy access on my attic; it also has a sub-floor installed for storage. I did the install in December so I'll have to wait for Summer to see it's effect. I did feel that even in winter, the attic is not as cold as it used to. I covered about 75% including gable wall facing West - will have to order another 500 foot roll to finish the project. My house is a single-story with 1850 sq feet with 40% vaulted ceiling.

Great product, easy to install

Place the order online with no difficulties, the process was very smooth and professional with no glitches.

The product arrived in great condition and was very easy to install. The tips, tricks and videos on the website prepared me well for the installation.

I was initially skeptical about the stated potential energy savings and comfort factors however after personally installing 2500 sq ft of the foil to the bottom of the roof rafters I achieved a savings of 1500 kWh the first year. I was not as much initially interested in the energy savings as I was trying to reduce the high attic temperatures in the summer and the HVAC cycle times. Before installing the foil barrier my second floor HVAC would come on around 10:00 AM and not shut off until around 10:00 PM. The HVAC was struggling to maintain a setpoint below 80 degrees. Following the installation of the foil plus the addition of add'l blown cellulose insulation in the non-floored areas of our walk up attic the HVAC will now come on, cool off the living space to the set point, and shut off for 15 -20 minutes depending on the time of day and position of the sun. The goal of prolonging the life of the HVAC system was achieved and the 1500 kWh/yr reduction in electrical consumption is a really nice bonus. Our energy costs have been reduced and our comfort increased.
